In the summer of 2018 I will be going on an expedition to Nepal. The focus of my trip will be reconstruction work in a local community. I hope to provide support to those who suffered the effects of the recent earthquake in any way I can. Time spent with a local community would allow me to develop a greater understanding of the challenges faced by these people who do not have enough financial support to complete repairs, whilst helping them in the reconstruction of homes, community buildings and schools. I would love to do this particularly because the children who are underprivileged and unjustly impoverished deserve all the help they can get. Because they're a similar age to me, their situation is a relatable issue that I can't wait to do my best to change.
