I’m raising money for One Chance, a free mentoring project supporting young people who are currently not in education, employment or training, or who may be feeling stuck and unsure of their next step.

My time and mentoring support is completely free. I’m not looking to be paid for this.

The money raised will be used directly to remove small but important barriers that can stop young people moving forward. This may include things like bus fare, gym or boxing fees, phone data, printing CVs, travel to interviews, training opportunities, or access to positive activities that help build confidence, routine and direction.

Over the last few days, I’ve started speaking with young people who want to make changes in their lives, but one thing is becoming really clear: sometimes the biggest barriers are the smallest costs.

We talk a lot about what’s going wrong for young people. This is a small way of helping create what’s missing around them.

Every donation, no matter how small, will help provide practical support, encouragement and opportunity for a young person who needs someone in their corner.
