One Mum. One Fight. One Little Bit of Help. ❤️

We’re asking you to stop scrolling for just a minute, because behind this fundraiser isn’t just a number or a fundraising target.

It’s my mum.

A mum. A wife. A sister. An auntie. A friend. Someone who means the absolute world to so many people.

And right now, she’s facing one of the hardest battles of her life — for the second time.

9 years ago, my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer. She fought through it, faced everything that came with it, and eventually got to live her life believing that the worst was behind her.

Unfortunately, we’ve recently been told that her cancer has returned and she is now living with liver and bone cancer.

It isn’t curable, but it is treatable, and she is currently preparing for and going through chemotherapy treatment, along with injections every three weeks.

There is so much that comes with a cancer diagnosis that nobody can ever truly prepare you for.

The appointments.

The scans.

The waiting.

The uncertainty.

The fear.

The physical and emotional exhaustion.

And having to put your life on hold while you concentrate on simply getting through each day.

My mum has had to stop working so that she can focus on her health and her treatment, which brings its own worries and pressures on top of everything else she is already facing.

We want to raise money to help take away even a small part of that financial pressure.

Whether it helps with everyday expenses while she’s unable to work, gives her something to make life a little easier during treatment, or allows her to treat herself to something special when she feels well enough to enjoy it again — we just want her to have something that is for her.

After everything she has been through, she deserves that.

She deserves to have something to look forward to.

She deserves moments where cancer isn’t the first thing on her mind.

She deserves to feel cared for, supported and reminded that she doesn’t have to face this alone.

We know times are difficult for everyone, and we would never expect anyone to donate more than they can afford.

Any donation, no matter how big or small, would mean more to us than we can put into words.
