I've raised £10000 to a charity called Limb-it-less who work with Ampcampkids to send amputee children & their families to a 5* retreat in Tenerife, all for free

Hello,
My name is Stuart, I'm 36 & on 10th August 2021 I chose to have my lower left leg amputated due to years of pain due to spina bifida & chronic regional pain syndrome. I have had treatment since the age of 10 & developed depression & anxiety from the day I realised I was different & every time I had surgery I fell deeper into the dark place.
Over the years I have come a breath away from suicide on a couple of occasions & after my last attempt I swore not to go back to that place & since I became lopsided I am the strongest I have ever been & am in a good place.
Over the last couple years walking has become very important for my mental health so I wanted to take on a big walking challenge & I settled on this, I am going to walk for 24 hours from 10pm on friday 12th august to 10pm on saturday 13th august.
For some reason I think it'll be fun, I want to push myself to new places in my mind & see what I'm capable of & already & a couple of people have tried to scale down the challenge but that just makes me want to do it more, so I am 😀
I am fully aware that this will put alot of pressure on my stump & it'll push my prosthetic (her name is audrey) but I think by pushing myself to the limit will allow me to push for bigger challenges in the future.
So I will be donating the money to a charity called Limb-it-less who work with Ampcamp Kids & they send 6 amputee children & their families to a 5* villa in Tenerife where they have a chef making their food & loads of activities & it's all free of charge. The children get a chance to socialise with children like them & they're outside of a clinical setting & their parents get a chance to chat to other parents who have similar experiences.
Oh & they also offer camps to adult amputees. They do amazing things for amputees!!
So if you could donate even a pound that'd be awesome, your donations will keep me pushing forward when I'm walking.
Big love ✌️🦿
