Story
Every second breath of ours is from the Ocean and even though we cannot see it and have only Explored 20% of it, our Ocean floor is Imperative to our life on Earth. The Seafloor Stores massive amounts of CO2 and is the foundation for all marine life.
It is silently being destroyed by bottom trawling which is a mindlessly inefficient fishing practise, dragging metal doors along the seabed to wipe out all the life in its 30m reach whether Dolphins, Sharks, Rays, turtles or reefs which took centuries to grow - and releasing the C02 which is Stored in our Ocean into the Atmosphere.
Seaweed is one of the Earth‘s biggest carbon absorbers can allow our Ocean to recover.
I am Cycling from Lisbon to the Algarve to advocate for our Ocean floor and raise funding for Seaweed farms.
