Story
This bell has a fascinating history. It probably came from Whitby Abbey in the C16 & rang out over the Dale for hundreds of years. It was taken down during recent repairs. The old church is 200 years old this year & the Friends group invite you, if you have family ties to Bay or simply happy memories, to help fund the necessary repairs at Taylors of Loughborough. Then it can ring out once more; the church will have its voice back & we can recall loved ones & think, 'We did that.'

3 years agoHere's One Small Bell itself - about 19" diameter, weighing about 11 stone & currently sitting on a floor 😕. Happily, funds are growing & JustGiving has raised nearly 20% of our £8000 goal 😁 - please don't just click Like, but make a donation too! 😁🔔👍
