Story
Beautiful Tally is a 5 year old American Bulldog who experienced untold traumas before arriving in the care of the One Wish Dog Foundation.
Before being seized by the police for welfare reasons, Tally had been moved from pillar to post, being relentlessly bred from before being left to starve in a filthy drug den.
Riddled with mange and dangerously skinny, Tally’s eyes were almost completely closed up from swelling and she had lost most of her fur from infections. Her back legs are also stiff and sore from being kept in a cage with no freedom and exercise.
If you’re following Tally’s journey, you’ll know that this special girl is now recovering from her traumas in a lovely, cosy home and she is receiving the medical treatment she needs to get better, slowly but surely.
What is most amazing about Tally is how despite everything she has been put through by humans, she refuses to lose faith in us. She looks to us for safety and comfort, and she is so, so gentle and trusting. She’s quite simply incredible and we’re totally committed to finding her happy ever after.
Tally has already been seen by our vet and we now have a treatment plan in place. We are hoping that medication and special baths will heal her chronic skin infections and we’re also using drops for her eyes. We’re quietly hopeful that her eyes will open up nicely once the infections have cleared and she won’t need surgery.
Once she is well enough, Tally will also be vaccinated and spayed. No more pups for this poor darling, we dread to think how many litters she was forced to have 😢
As a small, newly-registered charity, we’re entirely reliant on the kindness and generosity of our supporters to transform the lives of the dogs in our care.
The bill for Tally’s first course of medication was £283 and we’re expecting the final bill to run into the thousands.
We’re often beautiful souls like Tally’s last chance. Rescuing is expensive. But it’s necessary. We refuse to give up on any dog who needs our help.
⭐️ Can you help us with Tally’s medical bills?
However small the donation (even just a couple of pounds), it really does go such a long way.
Thank you for following Tally’s journey and for loving her just like we do. We’ll continue to update you on how she is getting on.
Better days are ahead darling girl!
