Story

Covid-19 has affected everyone around the world but none worse than the poorest countries. And yet people, especially children, have shown incredible kindness during the pandemic. People have helped their neighbours through foodbanks, provision of equipment for home learning, delivery of prescriptions and so on.

In spite of all the hardships of lockdown there was hope when the first people were invited to attend vaccination clinics. As the rollout began in January and we knew that everyone in the UK will have the vaccine provided for free, we started to think of people in poorer countries where this would not happen so easily.

And so, as One World Together, let's show our gratitude and love by reaching out to our neighbours in the developing world– people who won’t be receiving a letter from the NHS because they happen to live in less rich or developed countries?

UNICEF has vast experience of delivering vaccines across the world and they work in partnership with the WHO and other organisations. Please do what you can, whether it be a non-uniform day or a bake sale. Thank you for caring!
