    Story

OOF foundation was founded to fill a gap created by both financial and mentorship deficits mostly experienced by less privileged boys and girls, men and women in institutions of higher education in Africa. A lot of young ladies / young men who are enrolled as university students reside in the university campuses and are generally referred to as "NON ACADEMIC STUDENTS" because they end up not being official students at some point during the course of their study. They came into the university as students or with the hope / prospects of becoming students but along the way, they discovered that they had problems with their admissions into these institutions. Some return to their parents to inform them that things did not work out as planned but a very high number of these individuals stay back in the universities; squatting with a friend, to try and "fix the situation" by all means. 90% of these youths end up getting involved or involuntarily trapped in different behaviours, activities or practices in the process of trying to ’fix the situation’, . While some of them have been killed by the people whom they thought were their “saviours”, some have been used for money rituals; others joined cults and gangs, some committed suicide, while some are currently suffering from depression and anxiety.

Furthermore, a lot of them have been separated from their families because they do not have the courage to tell the story or access to the requisite financial aid to start afresh. These are young people who potentially could have great futures and positive contributions in society. They are the future Leaders, CEOs, Directors, Presidents, Husbands / Wives, etc, but for the lack of support, their dreams and hopes have been truncated. Thus, our Mission is to identify these individuals, discover greatness amongst these less privileged non-academic students and help them fulfil their dream and subsequently follow up on their achievements and success stories.
