Our baby boy Emilio, 3 months old, has a rare genetic condition called Blefarofimosis. This condition only affects 1 in 50,000 babies. It means he doesn't have muscle in his eyelid, and he can't fully open his eyes.

We want Emilio to be able to see everything and open his eyes fully, and live a normal and full life with proper vision.

As it is so rare, there is only one doctor outside of Asia who can perform a very specific and technical surgery to lift the eyelid permanently and give Emilio 'normal' looking eyes. He is a private Spanish doctor called Ramon Medel and luckily he does the surgery here in Malaga. If Emilio doesn't have the surgery, his balance and eyesight will be negatively affected.

The earliest Emilio can have the life changing operation is in May when he is 10 months old.
