Open Door 1 is a community group that aims to reduce stress and the sense of social isolation by raising awareness of dementia within the community. They offer group members opportunities to take part in social activities as well as being included in the decision making process of how they develop as a service. This is achieved by providing social events and activities to encourage carers and family members to participate in their carers/self-help groups. Open Door 1 relies on donations.
