Story

UPDATE...
Decided that a half marathon wasn't enough...so ive doubled my target to coincide with double the distance! 7th April 2019 I am running Manchester Marathon with my daughter! Please help me help Peyton and her mum.

I made the decision to attempt to run a half marathon in Sept ( the Robin Hood Half Marathon to be precise) when I heard about my friends little girls option to have a specific operation that isn't available for her on the NHS. this was my inspiration to stop dithering about it and do it. So Peyton and Kimberley this is for you. I may not be able to raise £21,000 but if I can gather just a portion of it, it's a step closer.

Peyton's story by her mum Kimberley. Peyton was born at 31+5 weeks gestation weighing just 3lb 12oz. Her NICU journey went as well as it could have really and after 20 very long days, she was allowed home. February 2nd 2017 Peyton was diagnosed with mild diplegic cerebral palsy and in March had an MRI scan to confirm this. The type of cerebral palsy Peyton has, means she will benefit from Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) surgery. The surgery can be hugely beneficial and improve her quality of life. However the surgery is not available for her on the NHS as she doesnt fit their criteria and the operation costs around £21,000 to have.
