Options is a user-led day service for adults with learning disabilities based at the Pioneering Care Centre in Newton Aycliffe. Options promotes indepedence, choice, control and social inclusion. As well as the day service, Options members have their own social enterprise, Cafe O, and the Options Social Club open to all with a disability on a Thursday night.

On Thursday, 17th August, the members are organising their annual Options Summer Festival to raise money for new resources and activities. The festival will take place at the Pioneering Care Centre in Newton Aycliffe, it's free to come along and everyone's welcome.

The day will include a bungee run, penalty shootout, children's bouncy castle, afternoon tea, face painter, strong man competition, police demonstration, tombola, carnival games and stalls and will run from 12-4pm. As part of the festival, there will also be a BBQ and disco on the evening from 5:30-8pm at £3 a ticket.

For the past two years we have been sponsored to take part in a 12-hour marathon of singing and dancing. This year we're doing a sponsored flash mob where at different times throughout the event we will be busting out a surprise dance routine.

All money raised from the event and sponsors will go towards Options to improve the day service. We really need your help to raise as much money as possible so if you could sponsor us to do our flash mob or just make a donation we would really appreciate it.
