Story
Since moving to the area in 2016 I have had my challenges with my own personal anxieties. My school, Guillemont Juniors, in Farnborough have been absolutely amazing in helping me overcome it and develop a new-found resilience which I adopt in everything I try.
I started Unicycling at school back in 2018 as a complete novice, having never even sat on one! Today, after lots of trying and PLENTY of assistance from my Headteacher Mr. Foster, I can now ride freely on both my standard Unicycle and my recently aqcuired Girafe Unicycle.
So fastforward to now....I want to give something back before I leave Guillemont to take on the heights of 'Big School' in September this year, therefore I have decided to ride my Unicycles a minimum of 1 Mile EVERY day in March and raise as much as I can to help the school continue to develop the special skill of resilience, which has massively helped shape my life so far. The school have also asked that funds are split for their partner charity, Phylis Tuckwell Hospice which plays a huge role in supporting the local community in caring for families living with cancer or other advanced terminal illnesses.
I hope you agree, two very worthy causes for what is going to be a big challenge for me!
