My name is Orlando and I am 13 years old. I am volunteering with African adventures in Ghana to help teach and get involved with building projects in the Volta area of Ghana. African adventures are a charity that help to provide communities with food, water, education and job opportunities for people in Ghana.
While we are there we will spend time teaching in schools, getting involved in community work with underprivileged children, playing and coaching football and sports and doing minor renovation work such as painting and decoration.
The costs of going to Ghana are quite high as we need to fund our own travel costs and extra money will go towards the community projects. I need to raise £1845 to fund the trip. I would like to go to Ghana to help all the other children. I would like to know what it's like for them and to learn how lucky we are.
I have helped my dad to build our extension so I'm great at building and mixing concrete and hoping these skills will come in useful
