Story

In July 2019, 26 lucky young people from West Lancs will attend the 25th World Scout Jamboree in America. 5 members of the contingent are from Ormskirk & District Scouts and will be working hard to collectively raise £5000 in order to get to America! The jamboree will be a life changing adventure, which will equip young people will new skills, confidence and new friends from across the globe!

The 24th World Scout Jamboree will bring together Scouts from around the globe to experience new adventures, cultures, and friendships.

Adam, Emma, Rory, Rose and Thomas will be travelling to America and will spend three weeks with people from all corners of the world. The jamboree will have more people and countries represented than attend the Olympics. The jamboree will be a once in a life time opportunity for young people to learn the hundreds of different cultures that will be represented. The World Scout Jamboree is an educational event that brings together the world’s Scouts to promote peace and mutual understanding and to develop leadership and life skills.

Adam, Emma, Rory, Rose and Thomas will be working hard to fundraise as a team and will be holding several events over the next year to help them reach their fundraising target of £5000 and would greatly appreciate your support to get them to America!
