Dear all,

Recently, the club has been subject to acts of vandalism against our cricket nets. This is absolutely heartbreaking for all at the Club. The club is at the heart of the Orrell Community and is reliant on the hard work of players, members, volunteers and others to raise funds and maintain these facilities so that they can be used by all of our playing age groups as well as local schools.

To see all of the clubs hard work go to waste due to these acts is extremely hurtful for all involved.

The situation is made even worse by the fact that these nets were newly refurbished less than 12 months ago - the cost of which was substantial for a club who have to work hard for every penny it raises.

We appreciate that a lot of our members, supporters and friends within the local community and beyond are going through a tough period financially at the moment, due to the cost of living crisis. As a club, this is also affecting us significantly too.

To see the nets vandalized in such a way was soul destroying and we would appreciate any donations to help us not only repair the nets but also install a security fence around the net area in order to ensure that our club has a practice facility fit for purpose at all times.

Please do not feel obliged in any way to donate, but a little donation can go a very long way.

Thank you

From all at Orrell Red Triangle CC
