Story
Oscar Malande is studying for a PHD at the University of Birmingham on Kenyan Quakerism whilst working full time in Kenya to support his family. He is the amongst the first Kenyan scholar to work on this topic at this level. He is nearing the end of his studies but has found it difficult to create the time and space needed to write up his research.
Now he has been given a sabbatical from work and a charity is funding him to fly to Britain and stay in for three months. In this time Oscar hopes to complete his first full draft of his thesis. However the grant does not extend to food and bus fares to get him around Birmingham so we are trying to raise about £1500 to cover the 13 weeks.
Oscar is also needing help with fees and any extra collected will go to that appeal. https://www.qsra.org/donations.html
