I'm raising £5000 to Empower 10 entrepreneurs with disabilities in Ghana with training and micro-loans to achieve sustainable livelihoods

THE CHALLENGE
In Ghana, individuals with disabilities face significant barriers to economic empowerment and social inclusion when trying to make a living.
For the few who do not resort to begging on the streets, they attempt to run small-scale businesses as street vendors, or engage in various crafts and services.
However, they often lack access to essential training or affordable financing, facing social stigmas and constant challenges along the way due to their disability.
AN OPPORTUNITY FOR CHANGE
'Project Mrktplace' is a 6 month transformative Economic Empowerment program by the Osei Collective, dedicated to enabling a cohort of 10 disabled entrepreneurs to successfully start and sustain their businesses. Together, they will go through 3 parts of the program which addresses systematic challenges:
MASTERCLASS - training masterclasses will provide essential skills to run a successful business, with marketing, financial management, personal development, and mental health literacy.
MICRO-LOAN - receive a micro-loan of approximately £150 as initial startup capital, tailored to their business needs.
MARKET - support to expand their business reach to local and global markets. Exhibiting products via online marketplaces and offline channels like community activations, pop-up shops, markets, and events.
YOUR IMPACT MATTERS
We have identified 10 incredibly talented individuals with scalable business models that your funds can support to provide the initial tools, resources and opportunities to drastically change their lives for good, giving them equal opportunities to uphold their basic human rights.
HOW YOU CAN BE A CATALYST FOR CHANGE
£40 = covers all food and accessible transport to trainings for 1 entrepreneur
£150 = covers the average micro-loan for 1 entrepreneur's startup capital
£500 = supports 1 entrepreneur through the full 6-month program
Thank you in advance for your support in funding this initiative that aims to break down financial, social, and systemic barriers - giving persons with disabilities dignified alternatives to begging, so they can fully contribute to and benefit from society.
