I've raised £600 to Provide free legal advice to European nationals and their families during the Brexit process to help them secure their status in the UK

Here For Good is a charity that exists to provide free legal advice to European nationals and their family members during the Brexit process. It was set up by my sister, Bella Mosselmans, who is a trainee immigration solicitor at Wesley Gryk, and Tahmid Chowdhury, Co-Founder and Director of the People’s Challenge – a legal pressure group that successfully argued that Parliament should get a say in Brexit.
Here for Good’s work is focused on the people who need it most. This includes people with physical or mental vulnerabilities, people with families and young children, and people who have been mistreated by the Home Office. There’s currently very little free legal advice available for these citizens, and if nothing changes, the mistakes of the Windrush scandal are set to be repeated.
They’re trying to raise money to employ caseworkers in key areas around the UK with high numbers of European nationals but with limited access to legal advice. Supporting these citizens isn’t just about keeping our economy afloat, it’s about keeping communities and families together. Whether it’s restaurants or churches, immigrants’ contributions go beyond money – they make our country what it is.
