Story

Ossett RUFC Hardship Fund

What?

The hardship fund was created during Covid to support our club members who may have been struggling to make ends meet and required a small amount of help.

Why?

As we’re a small local community club we felt it important to help each other out wherever and whenever possible, with any problems in members everyday lives.

How?

All money in the hardship fund is from donations and collections. Be this through fundraising or gifts from our generous members

Who?

The hardship fund is available to all members of Ossett RUFC. Be it food vouchers, item purchases, or other support in whatever way we can.

Next step?

The fund has been a massive positive for the club with various members making use of it during the very testing times we have all encounted over the last few years. As a result the pot is running low, and after a little persuasion, The legend that is Tebby, has agreed to do the Leeds Marathon to try and put something back in. His only stipulation when agreeing, was that part of any money raised would be given as a donation to another cause close to his heart, which is the MND foundation. A percentage of the money raised will be going that way and all donators will be notified of this at a later date.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. Any donations will be much appreciated
