Message from students.

Next month we will collectively embark a 10km walk along the Five Weirs route.

We are raising money to improve our school facilities so our students can benefit and enjoy improved technology. Technology plays a big part in many careers and we want students to have the opportunity to access these resources. Current and future peers can be inspired and motivated to consider the widest range of future careers as a result.

For this reason we would like to purchase laptops for our learning. This will benefit all of our students. These laptops will used across the curriculum and will be greatly beneficial; so that when the computer room is in use, laptops can be used in lessons.

Message from staff.

Our children are growing up in a digital world, and we must support them in order to build their confidence and abilities to meet their goals and aspirations. Unfortunately though we have a dedicated computer room in school, it is poorly equipped. Our IT equipment is very outdated; and with larger year groups, we no longer have enough devices to meet the demands.

By ensuring that our students feel confident about using technology, we can ensure they are able to engage in lessons fully, participate in learning online, access homework and collaborate among their peers. We also hope to use the laptops for after school homework clubs, and in future extra curricular clubs and activities.

We want current and future students to feel confident in using technology, in order to prepare them for the challenges ahead of them - whether they take on further study and research opportunities in digital technology., or choose other career paths.
