I've raised £1000 to Help fund some new "Otter Crossing" signs at Ullapool north road and anything left over will go towards wildlife signs on road at Leckmelm.

Sadly we have been losing lots of widlife on the roads around Ullapool. We have had three otters in one location just outside Ullapool by the golf course where we have identified a spot they are crossing to migrate between a susppected holt and the sea. A local kids marine group, the Ullapool Sea Savers, have gained permision to put up sign but on the condition we rasie the funds to do this ourselves and to meet legal requirements is going to cost over £700 even with local businesses offering to do their part of the work at low price.
We have also lost otters, badgers, red squirrels, owls and deer at a strech of road by Leckmelm so if we raise more than what it costs to put up the otter crossing signs then the rest of the funds will go into getting some extra signage for that strech of road where we will work with local land owners to put them up and try slowing down traffic and saving our wildlife.
We have numerous pictures of the animals that have been hit and either killed orseverely injured but are holding them back fro now as they are quite distressing. If you can help with a few pounds we will ensure it all goes to trying to save our amazing wildlife around Ullapool. Thank you.
