Scott Matzka is a former Cardiff Devil - a member of the revered team of 2010-11 that set a Guinness World record for most consecutive wins by a pro hockey team.

He was a key part of that team's success, and a much loved and respected team-mate.

Scott has been diagnosed with this horrible disease and we his friends in the Ice hockey community of Cardiff and the UK want to raise as much money as we can to support his beautiful family in their battle against his condition.

Scott is a devoted family man and his wife Catie and two children Reese (6) and Cardiff-born Owen (4) will accompany him to Cardiff to play in 'The Matchka' - an exhibition match where the current Devils roster will face off against a re-united team from the 2010-11 season.

This game will take place on October 25th 2016, at Ice Arena Wales, home of the Cardiff Devils.
