On Saturday July 28th I will be walking from Parliament Hill Café up to Highgate Village along to Kenwood House, past the Spaniards down into Hampstead on down to Haverstock School, Back along prince of Wales Rd to Kentish town and back up to Parliament Hill Café.

I will do this round trip 4 times which is approximately 20 miles

I am supporting a local Learning Disability Parents Group to Raise much needed funds for there work, they are a User led Charity run by Parents with Learning Disabilities for Parents with Learning Disabilities

Parents with Learning Disability can sometimes get a tough deal when trying to get help and support.

Our Group Your Group was set up to make sure people have a place to come and get the support and help they need

We mostly work in the borough of Camden and take on cases like Help with School admissions, Support people to attend Medical Appointments, Travel support for those that find it hard to use Public transport, Signposting to special services that deal with difficult problems, Advice and support for those that want to start a family and support for those that don't always have access to their children.

We meet once a week as a group to discuss our work and provide activities such as Art Therapy, Healthy Eating, Crafts and Teach Games (that parents may use with their children)..

We have open discussions and invite guests to speak to us on important subjects.

We think its great for parents to learn from other parents.

But as things are being done more and more online these days we realise that technology is needed for our work and so we would like to try and raise money for an IPAD or two to keep up to date and do the best work we can supporting Parents with Learning Disabilities.
