Story

This is a story about Sam. Sam is funny, she is beautiful, she is kind, she is mega organised (#controlfreak) and she is super competative ... do not play board games with her!! When she is drunk she can dance off any teenager - providing she is wearing the right shoes! Sam is 38, a contracts manager, and she is married to Phil, they have the most gorgeous little boy, Finn, who is 3 and full of mischief, but is also as kind and loving as his amazing parents. Sam is also a proud and caring Step-Mum to Phil’s son Joshua, a fine young man approaching his 18th birthday in November.

Sam is one of the best friends, relatives or colleagues you will ever have. She will pick you up when you fall, she will make you laugh, she will organise your life, she will answer your questions, reassure your fears and buy and pour the wine! Her family and friends are everything to her, and she is everything to us. This is Sam at her Hen Night, it was less than a year ago.

Sam has just been diagnosed as having breast cancer, she is about to start chemotherapy, and will require surgery and radiotherapy in her battle. Sam is a fighter, she is brave, she is courageous and she is one of the most inspirational women we all know.

We all know about Cancer, how cruel it is, how arduous the treatment, how heartbreaking the journey. What you may not know, is how expensive it is, not just the time off work, but everything needed to make the journey easier, more comfortable and more bearable and ensure a happy and positive ending to Sam’s story. We know she can kick it’s ass!!!

#TeamSam are raising money for this incredible woman facing the fight of her life. If you can make some small gesture to help towards Sam’s ongoing care, respite and to help her look and feel as strong as she can we would be immensely grateful. Anything raised over target will go Macmillan, who have been absolutely fantastic every step of the way.

Thank you
