Not sure how start as I feel like we are begging and find it extremely embarrassing, but have had to swallow our pride and ask for help.
As many of you know, Our baby girl who is due to make her entrance in March 2020 has a serious heart defect called Transposition Of The Great Arteries and she also has a hole in her heart.
Without major heart surgery in the first 4-9 days of life plus a whole lot of other medical intervention our baby would die.
We are being looked after by consultants in St Michael's Hospital and this is where she will be born and then she will be transferred down the road to Bristol's Children's Hospital where she will then receive her life saving surgery and be cared for while she recovers.
We have been told that with the best outcome to expect a minimum hospital stay of 1 month in Bristol.
Obviously during this time and I hope you can agree,we need to be as close as we can to our baby daughter and will not be able to go home at the end of each day as it's a 2 hour drive each way, we have been told that there is no guarantee that we will get charity accommodation and that we will have to find the money to pay for somewhere so we our close to our baby.
Our 3 year old son will be cared for by family and we will need to go back and forth as best as we can to see him and Adam's 7 year old son.
This whole process has put a massive financial and emotional strain on us and we are struggling to work out how we will manage paying to be near our baby while also paying our normal rent and Bills for our home,this is why we are asking for your help.
If we manage to raise anything at all we will be eternally grateful and if there is enough that there is some left over we will split it between the Tiny Tickers Charity and Bristols Childrens hospital.
