Having been in education as a maths teacher/head of department/head of curriculum for over 5 years in mainstream education and having been in education for over 10 years as a whole; I have experienced a convulsionary journey, and have met only 2 teachers out of hundreds along the way, which I would refer to as outstanding in practice.

There is no surprise to this, and as such there is no surprise that mainstream education is failing our children of today, and will fail our children of the future, unless much is done do restore the quality of teaching available to our children and students, to enable them to engage, to further enable them to learn and grow, and then pioneer for themselves.

This is a topic I find very difficult to cope with in good faith, and I can only see it worsen. Schools are business at the end of the day and this should be understood. As a whole schools are acting as businesses, and as such, they are cutting teachers pay, using agencies to find inexperienced and/or non-exemplary staff due to saving money, and fundamentally this is detrimental to all of our pupils and their learning.

It is not a wonder that this underlying reason is the rudimentary basis for every agonising parents dismay with the level of standards that their child is exposed to every day for 8+ hours and that nobody seems to be doing anything about it!!!

This is a topic I hold very close to my heart!

My business plan will act on all of the following points outlined below, with the primary mission to establish a professional competition in school staffing positions, increasing the pay of school staff across the board, in turn increasing the amount of outstanding teachers our children are exposed to!

Our plan is to get the best teachers into schools to give our children of the future the best possible education. We plan to do this by cutting the cost of employment in schools by over 50%, and providing schools with over 600% more accessible staff per position to be filled.

We will also reduce the stress of teaching staff and school/education staff, by reducing their time invested in applying to roles by offering them a solution.

This process streamlines the employment process on both sides, and also eradicates fees incurred by possible agency referrals.

Not only will we streamline the employment process on both sides, but it also enables those staff who are seeking new employment to be approached by new employers, without actively looking and taking time out of their day to search for new roles in their desired areas and locations.

We will enable schools with full control of their applicants, with applicants who have been vetted and have met requirements, and are ready to employ as soon as may be wished upon.

We look forward to a new era, where staff are paid what they are worth, where they will deliver outstanding practice “every” “single” “lesson”, where our new generation of pupils are exposed and have access to outstanding learning, and parents are happy for their children's progression.

We look to use the money to develop an online website platform, an easily accessible and web-linked app, and an effective marketing strategy.

Our proposal is guaranteed to make a positive change, and is nothing like anyone is doing in the education sector currently.
