Following the advice of the British Equestrian Federation all lessons and courses at Overdale Equestrian Centre were cancelled with effect 24-March-2020, in response to the Coronavirus Precautions. Lessons and courses are our main source of income. To provide these lessons and courses we have a team of 10 horses, which includes one youngster. To reduce our costs we have put our staff on Furlough, but the horses remain on site and require feed and care, along with ongoing farrier/veterinary services. Mary Wanless & myself, Karin Major are undertaking these tasks, with a little help from our tractor driver. We have turned several horses away to grass, and are working with local landholders to obtain more grazing, this should reduce our feed costs. Our own fields need to recover from a hard and wet Winter before they are safe to graze (short stressed Spring grass is dangerous as it causes laminitis, which can be fatal).

We are therefore seeking financial assistance with the costs associated with keeping the Equine Team fed and healthy. If you have ever ridden with us, or would like to in the future, or if you just feel you could help, then please do so.
