The East Wichel Community Association aims to serve and build the community in East Wichel through a variety of activities, and one of the key annual events has been the community trip. We want all children and adults regardless of income to be able to enjoy a day out in the summer holiday. However coach transport is expensive and passing on the full cost to those who want to go puts some people off, meaning children miss out. We want to raise enough money to pay for one coach for the 2018 community trip so that families and children can create positive memories from the long summer break.

The Community Association is one of the linked charities at This Year's New Swindon Half Marathon - running on the 3rd September, and 6 runners from East Wichel are running to raise money for the association and for the trip next year. The Runners are:
