I've raised £1000 to support fund raising efforts for a charitable expedition to the Indian Himalayas.

On 20th May 2018 I will be running the Draycot Half Marathon to raise funds for My World Challenge expedition and I would be very grateful if any family, friends and local businesses felt able to sponsor me to take part in this event.
During the summer of 2019 I will be taking part in a World Challenge Event in India, arriving in Delhi, travelling north and trekking through the Indian Himalayas to a remote village. The event is an opportunity for me to undertake charitable work, experience differing cultures and landscapes and also to develop my skills in research, planning, teamwork, money management and communication in readiness for life at university and subsequent employment. During my trip I will be working on a charitable project, spending 7 days living and working alongside a local community helping them to improve facilities within their village. The type of project I will undertake could include renovating school facilities; building additional school classrooms, dormitories or toilet blocks; establishing a clean water supply; designing playgrounds; planting vegetable gardens; mending or putting up fencing; building traditional housing for vulnerable members of a community.
I feel passionate about taking part in this project and I am committed to raising the £3990 it costs for me to undertake the expedition. I have already hosted a number of fundraising events and many more are scheduled over the coming months including the Draycot 1/2 Marathon.
