I've raised £2500 to help the Owl Tree Children's café survive temporary closure in the wake of Covid19

The Owl Tree Children’s café is a not for profit community interest company, established and designed to offer affordable, accessible support for parents and carers of pre-schoolers.
We have been forced to temporarily close our doors as a result of Coronavirus and govt. advice surrounding gatherings. Our customers are the heart of our business and without you we cant survive. Your safety means it would be irresponsible of us to remain open.
We are however not a big business, despite our recent success, our incomings equate to our outgoings with no surplus. The recent downturn in business and ceasing business part way through the month has left us with a deficit.
We really want to put the business into a “dormant state”, not wrapped up but equally not trading but we do need some funding to do this. We also want to do the right thing and pay our staff until the end of the month where possible.
The staff at the Café ALL started as volunteers, all have given way above and beyond what would be expected from a normal job role and they are one of the main reasons that the café is such a welcoming and friendly place.
Our friends at Redhouse Farm Football Club have been exceptionally generous in waiving rent during this period of closure and we are grateful. WE have however got contractual obligations, Direct Debts, insurances etc that cannot be cancelled unless we were to “wind up” the business.
We will be turning to any Govt. funding made available in the coming months, but with no clear directive on what or how to access this, we are turning to our loyal customers to ask for your support.
We are looking for donations, of whatever you can afford to help us pay all existing commitments and remain afloat with ongoing commitments for the next couple of months. If you would be willing to donate your average entry fee or even entry fee and cake cost, this will all help towards putting us in a fighting position to come back from this as soon as we can.
By way of a thank you for your ongoing support, we will be reaching out via our website and Facebook pages with themed play and creative ideas, online songtime and storytime. We are partnering with another fabulous local Business Create:Relate to hopefully help all you wonderful parents and carers. https://www.facebook.com/create.relate.newcastle/
With so much thanks for all your support to date and hopefuly in the future
