The ideas behind the television show 'Oyinbo Princess Kitchen' are exciting, innovative, new and zest; it will captivate its audience by giving the viewer something very different from the expected. The show will offer a real taste of culture and traditions, when it comes to food. It will give an insight into local dishes and will engage viewers as they explore, through the show, local areas across Nigeria. The programme will teach how to cook and prepare various dishes, educate concerning the use of Pidgin English, touch on history and origin of the dish and will host a new celebrity each week, getting to know about their food habits and give viewers an insight into their line of work. It will be filmed at various outdoor locations, on the streets and in areas of cultural interest, in and around Nigeria
There has not yet been a cooking show like Oyinbo Princess Kitchen, our television stations actually have a yawning gap in their provision for something new for their viewers. It is widely acknowledged that television is an efficient and cost-effective way of reaching large and dispersed audiences; this is a huge market to tap into and it has capacity to increase as time goes by. Not having such a show does not seem like a problem, until you see the potential of a new show, such as this one, and can identify the need for it - therefore the problem in the first place is not offering this kind of show before now
This project means an awful lot to me and has been one of my dreams for quite some time. I wish to be able to unite people through the love of food, regardless of their background, race, religion or ability. It will showcase the beauty of Nigeria, the country and people while promoting Pidgin English and traditional foods - Oyinbo Princess
I intend to be able to donate a percentage of the shows profitable revenue to ‘Oyinbo Princess Outreach’, and various other charitable projects, once in a position to do so. The outreach currently gives to those who are in need, mainly focusing on children, feeding, clothing, housing and educating. I have first-hand experience of the difficulties which face some of the poorer children and families in Nigeria, and this further fuels my desire to improve the lives of these forgotten people living and surviving in poverty #OyinboPrincessOutreach
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you very much for taking the time to read the fundraising page for Oyinbo Princess Kitchen. My vision is that you will be as equally excited as I am for the prospects of this television show. I have great expectations of success with this show and hope that you will help me make it a reality. Through the programme; I will endeavour to not only meet, but exceed expectations for a truly prosperous, beneficial and contemporary show that will bring a unique and entertaining programme to a wide and varied audience
Although this cooking show is intended to be entertaining and fun, it carries a very definite message that defines the principles of engaging people from all and any walks of life. It is my belief that with popularity comes a responsibility to present a positive role model to all those who support my ministry. Leading by example is very important to me and by reaching an even wider audience I feel I will be able to make a constructive contribution to society
Thank you
