Story
We have raised a small team of people to participate in the Chester Marathon in order to raise charity monies in memory of Sam Cook and his granddad, Dave Radcliffe. You may or may not have heard of Sam and his granddad.
Sam was tragically murdered last October whilst out celebrating his 21st birthday by an individual armed with a knife. Sam was a good person, who was just in the wrong place at the wrong time and was merely standing up for his girlfriend. A high profile court case was held in June of this year when a guilty verdict was returned and the individual responsible was imprisoned for 28 years. That very same evening that verdict was given, we lost Sam's Granddad to a heart attack. Of course we regard this as due to a broken heart and as a consequence of that original knife attack. As a result we are trying to raise money for no more knives, an incentive which is trying to stop knife crime and prevent any more innocent individuals and families being devastated and effected by such mindless crimes.
