Story
St Marks Parent Partnership, in conjunction with the Parent Councils of St Thomas’ and St John’s, are organising a sponsored walk to raise funds for the current P7 children to assist with their Lockerbie Manor Trip which takes place in May 2022.
The total distance in miles from Barrhead to Lockerbie and back is 157 miles. The challenge is for families to walk the total return distance from Barrhead to Lockerbie during the month of October. Families can add each individual’s miles together to achieve the family target. So don’t panic!! We don’t expect each person to walk 157 miles.
Lockerbie Manor is one of the highlight of the P7 year. It gives the children an opportunity to participate in outdoor, team building activities and spend time building relationships with their fellow, cluster P7’s making the transition from primary to high school. The funds raised from the sponsored walk will be used solely by the P7 children to reduce the total cost of the Lockerbie residential. Every P7 parent greatly appreciates the support that other parents in the school and the wider community give to them.
