When I visited Antigua this year on holiday I was lucky enough to visit an animal shelter that caters for many stray cats and dogs.

PAAWS Antigua (Protect Antiguan Animals with a Smile) is a non government funded charity that gives neglected, unwanted and abused cats and dogs the love and care they so greatly need.

Their no-kill shelter and rehoming centre is a haven for over 80 cats and dogs and have found homes for over 2000 animals over the years.

The shelter's manager Rachel is absolutely wonderful and so welcoming, originally from the UK Rachel moved onto to Antigua in 2004. She has such a love for the animals she helps and shows them so much love.

The animals are so well looked after and the shelter really warmed up my heart. As they simply rely on donations to help their amazing work going I am creating this page to ask for any spare money you have to give to this amazing animal shelter. Without Rachel and her team these animals would still be neglected, abused and unwanted little souls.
