We are a dedicated team of local parents, united in our mission to raise funds to redesign and redevelop the existing paddling pool area at Croydon Road Recreation Ground. We are fundraising with The Friends of Croydon Road Recreation Ground and have full support from Bromley Council and idverde in our mission. Although at present there is no London Borough of Bromley funding available, the Council are looking into any potential funding sources they can apply for as landowner.

The existing paddling pool, a cherished spot used by generations of families, is sadly at the end of its life. idverde and Bromley Council are currently working to produce designs and costs for the improvement project to create a water play area.

We have a fantastic community, that has the power to make the redevelopment a reality through fundraising. We are asking for your help and support with this, by donating what you can, so we can see children enjoying this new clean and safe water play area.

We believe the redevelopment costs will be around £200,000, but are still awaiting the finalised quotes and design options. While we know it’s a significant goal, together with local businesses and grants we are currently applying for, we believe we can reach it.

There is a chance the total project cost could be as high as £350,000, but if this is the case, which we are hoping not, the remaining funds will be sought through business contributions and grant applications led by the Council as the landowner.
