Community Funding for Parkside Action Group (PAG)
St Helens Council’s plans to build a gigantic Warehouse Park on the Green Belt between Newton-Le-Willows, Golborne, Lowton and Winwick have gone to Public Inquiry.
This will dramatically change our area beyond recognition, with implications for health, environment, traffic, landscape and the entire semi rural character of our area.
The final scheme is immense almost as big as Newton and Earlestown combined and extends far beyond the old colliery site.
Given St Helens Council supports the scheme all that stands between you and this worrying social and environmental outcome is Parkside Action Group.
We urgently need funds to represent you at the Public Inquiry.
THANK YOU for your support whatever you can donate is much appreciated.
Parkside Action Group History
The group was formed in 2006 to defend against unsuitable development on the former colliery site. We have represented at the North West Spatial strategy, Astral and Pro-Logis planning consultations between 2008 and 2010, St Helens MBC Core Strategy and Local plan and more recently Parkside Phase one and Link Road planning consultations in 2018 and 2019.
