Hi, my name is Paighton. I am 18 years old.
I started playing football at the age of 9, throughout the years I have played for numerous clubs which included 3 Centre of Excellences Wolverhampton Wanderers, Stoke City and Leicester City as well as representing my County, Staffordshire Schools FA for a number of years.
When I was playing for Stoke, we had different coaches, players and officials coming in to give us information about things we wanted to do when we left school.
This was when I learned about Scholarships in America. As I was only 14 at the time this was a huge leap away from where I was. We were told we needed at least 5 C grade GCSE's including English, Mathematics and a Science to stand any chance of being considered for a Scholarship.
So this is what I worked for in my grades at school, once I heard I had the potential to train and play this is all I ever wanted. Women's 'Soccer' has so much more funding in America, having the best facilities possible, playing at the best grounds and having my games recorded and shown on EPSN. This then didn't become something that was unrealistic due to films like Bend it Like Beckham, if I worked hard this is the rewards I would get.
I then dedicated all of my teenage years to playing and training at any given opportunity I had, even training with Boys Teams just to keep on top of my fitness, working hard to getting my GCSE's looking to go onto further education at Burton and South Derbyshire College, doing a Level 3 Diploma in Football and Education, representing Burton Albion.
I have now achieved a Football Scholarship contract with Future Pro USA to earn a Degree as well as represent the University for 2-4 years. Hopefully by the end of my University years secure myself a Professional Contract and represent my Country in the England Women's Football Team.
I am asking for as much help as I can get. I am needing to raise the funds towards the cost of the Agency Fees (Future Pro USA)
