I am currently working as a nurse; developing and leading medical care for refugees in urban and rural areas of Jordan.

The work I am specifically involved in includes:

Running medical clinics and community health care for refugees in East Amman and rural areas such as Ma'in. Many refugees struggle to access health care and the expense of medicines prevents them caring for their families health. The medical care we provide is holistic in nature and seeks to support families in providing assessments, treatments, and advice.

Women's health care: working with particular emphasis on women's health care. Working at a women's centre which provides a safe space for the women, opportunity to support one another, antenatal care, counselling and health education and English lessons.

Health Education: working with the Middle East Children's Institute in partnership with UNICEF to provide health education sessions for parents and children across 10 of their schools for syrian refugees.

Nursing Education: training women from underprivileged backgrounds to be nursing assistants. This is such a valuable

This is an opportunity to be involved in resourcing this work - enabling refugees to access valuable medical care especially amongst some of the most marginalised groups such as women, children and those experiencing depression or trauma.

I am currently raising £1,500 to support the costs of these projects and initiatives which can make a tangible difference to refugees.
