I've raised £500 to help buy tickets for children who wouldn’t otherwise able to attend a panto this Christmas

Spread the love this Christmas by purchasing a ‘Donation Ticket’ for our Christmas Panto .
This new initiative provides tickets for our Christmas Panto to people who cannot otherwise afford to go as the tickets are paid for by the kindness of others.
We’ve teamed up with local charity Daffodil Dreams who work to provide opportunities for disadvantaged children living in Wigan. We were recently contacted by local resident Karen Strong who enquired about purchasing tickets to donate to Daffodil Dreams. When we heard about this we decided we really wanted to get involved and decided to set up a ‘Donation Ticket’ so that others can do the same.
For many people Christmas wouldn’t be the same without a trip to the theatre, however, for many families and children living in Wigan this just isn’t possible.
Rebecca Davenport, Director of The Old Courts, said: “When Karen first approached The Old Courts we thought it was a really great idea. We’ve heard about donating tickets and ‘Pay It Forward’ type schemes and we thought this was the perfect opportunity to get involved. All donation tickets will be forwarded to Daffodil Dreams who will distribute the tickets to people who wouldn’t be otherwise able to attend a panto this Christmas.”
“We’ve donated some tickets to get the ball rolling and anyone wishing to donate money towards our scheme can do so here. If you’d like to make someone’s Christmas magical, please donate now.”
"You can donate towards multiple tickets, a single ticket or you can contribute whatever you wish towards a ticket and we’ll do the rest. Donations will be converted to tickets which we have a reduced face value of £10 for this initiative!”
