About the team

Altrincham dodgers are a non-profit amateur sports club who were set up in altrincham over 6 years ago delivering coaching in the Greater Manchester area. The club has grown from 2 parents who undertook dodgeball coaching qualifications to now having six qualified coaches as well as several active parent helpers supporting our weekly sessions.

The Dodgers have developed from having 10-12 regular players attending to an excess of 70 members ranging from the age of 6 to 17 years entering both local and national competitions.

At the heart of the club is the development of our players, increased levels of fitness, team building and fun. More importantly the club is very inclusive and available to members of all abilities. We pride ourselves on being more than just a club but a dodgeball family.

Our plea

In February 2025 the club have been invited to play at the WDBF Youth Championships in Calgary, Canada. Our aim is to raise funds to help subsidise this exciting opportunity for our members. We would like as many of our team to be able to participate in this amazing experience. Unfortunately there are members of the team that would not be able to attend without additional funding to travel there.

As the club is a non-profit amateur team the funds are limited and without your help we would not be able to get our Dodgers over to Canada. This would be such a missed opportunity for those that would love to go but are unable to due to the lack of funds. We have the mammoth task of trying to raise in excess of £35k. We have already started to attempt this and will continue doing so with various events such as setting up stalls for ‘Tombola’ and ‘Hit the Dodger’ at the Altrincham Festival but there is such a long way to go which is why we need your help.
