Story

Park Lane Stables RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association) needs your support to help raise vital funds so they can continue doing the amazing work they do - offering local children and adults with a wide range of disabilities and learning difficulties the opportunity to ride and care for horses and ponies.

Horse riding, or indeed just being near horses, is proven to be highly therapeutic - both physically and mentally - especially for people with physical or sensory disabilities, learning difficulties, autism and mental illnesses. It can make a positive and tangible difference to a person's core strength, fitness, confidence, happiness and general well-being, which is why GPs and specialist physicians refer their patients and clients to Park Lane RDA.

The horses at Park Lane are kind, honest and steady, and are carefully selected and trained to ensure they are suitable for RDA riders. All sessions are facilitated by qualified instructors and friendly, DBS checked volunteers, to make sure riders have all the support they need to achieve great things in a safe and nurturing environment.

Park Lane is a friendly, inclusive and unique suburban yard and the RDA team really do believe that it’s what you can do that counts.

Park Lane and Horse Rangers RDA riders are taking part in The Big Ride (as part of an RDA National event) in Bushy Park on Sunday 24th September, from 1pm-5pm, to raise funds.

Please help us achieve our £1,000 target by donating as much as you are able to. With your support we look forward to helping many more riders achieve their dreams in the years to come.

THANK YOU!
