Story

In mid-July 2018 we're shooting Parklife (working title) - a story of four twelve-year-old friends who, during a sleepover in Camden Town, decide to break out at midnight and travel to Hyde Park to see in dawn. Set in 1997, the children have no smartphones to help them so they call the TFL hotline from payphones at various stages of the journey, always speaking to the same operator, Leon, who guides them through central London to their final destination.

The film is a passion project and will be independently funded; the cost will be somewhere in the region of £20,000 to completion so we're asking friends and family to give a helping hand getting this made. The cast and crew have been locked down and filming will take place around the weekend of July 14th, with post-production starting soon after. The money will be spent on the permits for filming in central London and Hyde Park, crew, logistics, equipment hire, post-production and film festival submissions.

The film is being made in memory of Ben Martin, one of the friends who made the journey in 1997, who passed away in 2009. Thanks in advance for your support, and we're looking forward to seeing you at the first screening.
