Park Primary School’s new outdoor gym!

Mr Farry, Miss De Curtis, Miss Warbrick, Mr Benson, Miss Barker, Mr Burton and one of our lovely parents are taking part in the Manchester half marathon to raise well needed funds to purchase a brand new outdoor gym for the children of Park Primary School.

Your donations will be contributing towards the expense of the gym equipment in the ambition of educating children to implement a healthier lifestyle through physical activity.

Childhood obesity is on the up and we are in danger of the children in our school right now living a life 5 years shorter than our own! Encouraging a healthier lifestyle through promoting physical activity can prove fundamental in instilling positive habits for the future.

The benefits of physical activity include increased congnitive function, boost in memory, reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, obesity and diabetes. It can also increases muscle mass and bone density which is imperative at such an important stage in the children’s lives.
