I've raised £10000 to provide nutritional needs to vulnerable communities in Kenya

Kenya faces severe food insecurity problems, attributed to frequent droughts, high costs of domestic food production, high global food prices, and low purchasing power. Nutrition is no longer just a health problem, but a social and development problem that requires a multi-sectoral approach. Urban slums, have the highest burden of under-nutrition in the country, for example, stunting among children, less than five years is more than 40 percent.
The first phase of this joint project is to produce a scoping/ feasibility study that aims to, in the short term, look at ways of providing food assistance to vulnerable communities. We will determine the extent of the problem, the most affected areas and the appropriate food distribution model. In the long-term, the aim is to identify ways that communities can improve their resilience and adaptation to the challenges they may face.
