I've raised £1000 to Help impoverished communities in Kenya by walking 16000 steps every day in March 2021.

I will be attempting to walk 16,000 steps (equivalent to 6.5 miles) every day during the month of March, giving a total of just over 200 miles for the month. After suffering ‘long covid’, affecting all muscles and joints from April 2020, I was unable to walk unaided for many weeks and if I am successful with this charity walk it will be a testament to prayer and the treatment received from our great NHS.
The impoverished communities in Rural Western Kenya are suffering with very low standard of living conditions. Can you imagine – the vast majority have very poor housing, no electric, no gas, no running water, poor sanitation, for a toilet ‘a hole in the ground’, no drainage!!! Also, no education after primary school unless it is paid for, so with no qualifications there is very little chance of finding employment.
The donations will help to see the children educated through at least secondary school, and I aim to help make these communities in Western Kenya self-sufficient by helping them grow more crops, raise chickens & goats, set up micro businesses, provide bibles and fund the next bible teaching conference.
