Story
Teenage pregnancies in Uganda often result in the girl being evicted from her family home. Wakisa Ministries in Kampala is a small charity run by Mrs Vivian Kityo. Wakisa provides a safe refuge for the girls, prepares them for being a mother and pays for them to have a hospital delivery. Wakisa tries to reconcile the girl to her family and in appropriate circumstances helps the girl receive maintenance from the father. Wakisa is entirely funded by donations. We have been actively involved with Wakisa since 2007 and have visited them three times in Kamapla.
