This is kind of a last resort/long shot, but id really like some time off work to spend wirh our soon to be born baby girl. Im 29, and i've worker since I left school. But because I've recently started a new job and not been there for 26 weeks, I am not entitled to full paternity pay. Ive rang the benefit people and they've said im entitled to about £70 a week, which I found almost insulting considering the amount I must have contributed in my years paying tax etc. £70 a week is also not enough to provide for my family as we recieve no benefits and pay full price rent to a private landord.

The amount ive set is roughly 2 weeks wages and would afford me the invaluble time to spend with my new baby daughter and also to look after my girlfriend while she recovers from bringing our child into the world.

Feeling almost ashamed to have to do this but at the minute I'm running out of ideas!
