I'm raising £5000 to provide local NHS staff with a day of much-needed respite and fun in our beautiful woodland setting.

Path Hill Outdoors is an outdoor education provider based in a beautiful woodland setting near Pangbourne. We work with young people and adults in the great outdoors all year round.
The last 18 months have been difficult for everyone, but especially so for our hardworking NHS staff and their families. Under relentless pressure and strain, some have suffered with anxiety and a dip in their mental health, while others have felt tired and have sacrificed time with their own families for the sake of the health of the nation.
Last summer we were able to say a massive thank you to our NHS heroes by offering a small number of funded places for family bubbles to spend the day with us at Path Hill. Accompanied by our experienced instructors, activities included bushcraft, archery, fire lighting, nature walks and rafting on the River Thames. We had wonderful feedback from the families that were able to take part, many saying that it was the first time they had been able to relax with their children and have fun together. Others said that they hadn't realised how stressed they had become and the opportunity to get back to nature had helped them to feel rejuvenated and lifted their spirits.
This year, we'd love to be able to do it all again, expanding our offer to include individual NHS staff that aren't part of local bubble, who would like to spend the day taking care of their wellbeing by finding peace and calm in nature with forest bathing, cooking over the fire and much more.
Please help us to fund as many places as we can! Path Hill Outdoors is a Not-For-Profit organisation and every penny raised will go towards the delivery of this programme. Any surplus funds will be donated to the Royal Berkshire Hospital Charities Fund.
